Amaravati: The prestigiously built shleter or yaagasaala in Amaravati came down due to rains. Reports are that the government that summoned soil from all districts of the state too is running off. In fact the yaagasaala that was built at Uddhandaraayanipalem has come down with not so heavy rains.

This was the same place where priests from all over the state have come and offered prayers for three days just before the foundation for the capital. But it is learnt that the place has been left unattended like that and no one really bothered to even guard the place.

There are reports that the much hyped 'Akhanda Jyoti' went off in under two months time after the foundation ceremony. The idols of gods and goddesses too were seen broken and lying down at the place. Reports are that some pundits are expressing it as a bad omen. Good omen or bad omen, when the government provoked it as a sentiment, it should have taken more interest in safeguarding the sentiment at least.
