You are right..if AP govt is ready to give back all the 20K crores that were transferred/spend in AP  in Jalayagnam projects by selling Land around Hyderabad..[Pls read CAG report cos you don't know to read any non-yellow paper]

You are right..if AP govt is ready to give back all the 20K crores that were transferred/spend in AP  in Jalayagnam projects by selling Land around Hyderabad..[Pls read GAG report cos you don't know to read any non-yellow paper]

The Telangana government will neither seek power nor will it buy power from Andhra Pradesh for it would drain the finances as the neighbouring State would be selling it at a higher price of Rs 7.50 per unit

Hyderabad, March 12, 2015: Hailing the Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao's statement that they don't need power supply from AP, AP Transco asked him to inform his decision in writing to the Centre. AP Transco in a statement said that because of the power being supplied to Telangana, it has to buy power from other states for excess rate. "It is good he has decided not to take power from AP. Both AP and Telangana will not have any power problems if they consume power generated locally in their states," it said, asking the Telangana Government to clear the pending bills for the power supplied to it so far.

Lafangi U-turn on krishnapatnam power

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao the last year announced that the state will not be laying a stake on the power from Krishnapatnam project when the controversy of Power PPAs are going on. KCR stated in the AP Assembly that Krishnapatnam Power is very costly and so the state will look to obtain power from other sources.

 

Telangana government subsequently wrote a letter reiterating the same to the center. But now Telangana government is struggling to buy power from external sources and is keen on buying the same power which it left earlier. Minister Jagadish Reddy earlier today said that Telangana government is interested to buy Krishnapatnam Power.

 

He went on to say that government had written letters about that on 4-5 instances but is yet to get proper response from AP government. Telangana is facing acute shortage of power due to the increase of demand in the Summer. The unscheduled power cuts have made their comeback to Telangana districts and also in Hyderabad.
