Oregon is pretty dead outside Portland, if you are not in common tech platform like java. .net or QA , you may not find your next job that easily, also i sensed racism there, white ppl look up indians as mere workers rather than as part of society there,  ofcourse there are lots of desi workers in nike, intel and colombia

Good location but climate you may like it may not like it . Lots of desis and Daimler is good client . Few of my friends working .there . If you want to jobs you can try in Seattle too which is very hot job market . Portlanf is a small brother to Seattle . Both states has lots of common features .
