Naidu Laments At Drop In Population!

Everybody is concerned about growing population in the country and there have been reports that India would overtake China in population in the next 25 years, though there is a fall in the growth rate of population.

But, Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is very much worried about this drop in population growth rate.

Speaking at a function on prevention of malnutrition in Vijaywada, Naidu said it was unfortunate that rich people were restricting their families with just one children, while poor people had larger families.

“This would lead to uneven growth. There has to be a change in the strategy from population control to population growth,” he said.

This is not the first time that Naidu advocated increase in number of children. In the past, too, he said there was a need for families to beget more children.

“Japan and China are facing problems because of an aged (or ageing) population and they are now promoting population. We should do the same. In our state, infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate are slowly declining,” he said
.

China's policy is on & off. Now, You can have more children if both of your parents are one-child. After few years, they will revise and introduce new rules...

I believe CBN is wrong for the current india's situation.... he might be thinking like 40 yrs down the line %$#$
