JV Ramana Murthy,well-known to Telugu theater and motion picture lovers Gireesham after his role in Gurazada Apparao’s well known play Kanyasulkam, kicked the bucket on Wednesday. He breathed his last at a private hospital while undergoing treatment for a heart-related ailment. He was 83.

Ramana Murthy is brother of JV Somayajulu who is popular for movies like Sankarabharanam. Ramana Murthy’s passion for Kanyasulkam was such that he, alongside his actor brother JV Somayajulu, played it for around 500 times in 45 years.
