EarbiteNews Posted June 23, 2016 Report Share Posted June 23, 2016 Once-bitten-twice-shy IAS officials of the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh are declining to blindly endorse the decisions of the chief minister in handing over the development of new capital of Amaravati to Singapore government consortium. According to sources, the officials are learnt to have advised Naidu against selection of Singapore consortium through “Swiss Challenge” method, according to which a company will be chosen for contract well in advance and then call for bids from others to compare them with the first one. This will create legal problems in future. Particularly, chief secretary S P Tucker is learnt to have refused to sign the file; and it was simply after Naidu signed on it, he put the file in circulation.
