Once-bitten-twice-shy IAS officials of the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh are declining to blindly endorse the decisions of the chief minister in handing over the development of new capital of Amaravati to Singapore government consortium.

According to sources, the officials are learnt to have advised Naidu against selection of Singapore consortium through “Swiss Challenge” method, according to which a company will be chosen for contract well in advance and then call for bids from others to compare them with the first one. This will create legal problems in future.
