Naa friend okadu chepthunde. Rajan is saying that he's ready to serve his 'country' anytime any, but he is clever enough to not mention the country's name ani @3$%

Paul Krugman wrote scathingly about Rajan, sometime in 2012 when Obama was up for reelection. He was lambasting Rajan for siding with the republican talking points about how govt. monetary policy was the reason for 2008 collapse.

So my friend's contention is that, Rajan took the Indian job because Romney didn't have much chance to get reelected, and hence he'd have no chance to get the Fed Chair job in the next 4yrs.

Now that there's a chance for a republican to be president, its the perfect time for Rajan to come back to the US.

Rajan thanks Swamy. @3$%

em confidential matters telustaayi anukuntunnav? Everything about RBI and Fed is public record.

some of the data they get, to make their decisions may not be public, but it can be compiled by private financial companies too.

The job is not as important as it is made out to be. Even the Fed chair.

Okay. Its a bit like having the right to call a nuclear strike.

The job itself is not terribly hard. It's probably just to push a button, or make the right call. But the ability to withstand the pressure to take that decision may be one of the biggest criteria.

Too many people saying BS into the ears of RBI chair. Its not easy for a normal person to ask them all to sod off, and make a decision based on his understanding of the data in front of him.
