Assuming that Pawan Kalyan would campaign for his own party ‘Janasena’ in 2019, it is the Kapu vote bank that is going to make a difference to the electoral fortunes of the parties in Andhra Pradesh.

The difference in margin of votes polled by the TDP and YSRCP in the last election was just 5 lakh. Influenced by Pawan Kalyan, and promise of loan waiver and reservation to their community, the Kapus voted en masse for the TDP. But I 2019, there seem to be indications of a three-way split in the Kapu vote bank.
