It Needed A Scam To Make Them Move!

The vote-for-note scandal is undoubtedly a turning point in the history of Andhra Pradesh politics. Caught red-handed, Chandrababu Naidu who until then had been speaking of section 8 in Hyderabad decided to move lock, stock and barrel to Amaravati.

And while this is a huge setback to the TDP in Telangana, one from which they might possibly never recover, it is a blessing in disguise for the people of AP! Following the bifurcation,

Naidu was still focused on Telangana whereas the altered political scenario demanded that a person concentrate only on one State because a win-win situation is just not possible for both States.

AP which had to bear the brunt of bifurcation was like a neglected baby thanks to Naidu’s attention being riveted on Telangana. AP cannot develop unless the administration shifted and it took the vote-for-note scandal to make that happen.

People are resistant to change and government employees who had made Hyderabad, their home were averse to shifting! That was to be expected. But many Hindus in Pakistan chose India at the cost of losing their properties in Pakistan, during partition.

What is the point in continuing to stay behind in a State which has a tippler as CM blabbering out vitriol and nonsense against the Andhras day-in and day-out?

For long, the tax-payers of united AP have contributed to the development of Hyderabad looking upon it as the land of Telugus.

It is alien territory now and about time that their hard earned money goes towards developing Vizag, Nellore, Tirupati and other towns of AP, not just Vijayawada or Amaravati alone.

The hard-working nature of the Andhras will put the State on the road to prosperity once again provided the CM works for the entire State and not just one community or group. Will he?
