I am in weird situation..please help if you can

I attended 4 client rounds all F2F(4 times) and I got selected.

Now prime vendor is saying he can not hire humans any more Is this possible? why this is happening to me even when i got job and joined last week.

may but how can i confirm this? can i ask directly to client manager ? or go through vendor ?
