Dipa Karmakar is set to become India’s first female gymnast to take part in the Olympic Games in August.

The 22-year-old sportswoman is known for being able to complete a life-threatening vault that has been attempted by only a few gymnasts in the world in a competition. The move, a front-handspring double somersault called “produnova,” ranks as one of the most difficult in gymnastics.
