No issues bro you can file H1 ext.. I did Amendment in Jan 2016 ..it was in processing stage..later in may 2016 i applied for H1 ext  ..H1 ext approved in 5 days ..i didnt check about my amendment which applied earlier adhi elago wastekabbati check chesi.... you can go ahead and apply no issues...

H1 previous expiry date nunchi 240 days lopu Neevu apply chesina h1 Ext approve avvali. Avvakapothe h1 receipt meeda work cheyya leemu.

better apply h1 Ext 6 months before expiry date. You can buy some time there.
