Jyothi Lakshmi was a damp squib at the box office and Charmi couldn’t find offers after a series of flops. Charmi planned to settle down as executive producer for her good friend Puri Jagan’s projects. Although Puri was happy to have Charmi to control the finances for his films, heroes and producers didn’t agree to have her on board. So Puri dropped the idea of having Charmi on the production side. Instead he has given her a new role as per the gossip winery.
