Brown rice is equally bad as white rice.. Its glycemic index is less than white rice though.. He cannot eat brown rice as replacement.. Needs more veggies preferably raw veggies for atleast few months with lean proteins.. Even proteins cause insulin spikes..to reverse type 2 no grains for certain period. 

I have seen people reverse type2 only by diet discipline workouts add 20% only.

it depend on so many factors even u may get from ur parents...

Sugar ekkuva veskuntey avtaaru .. Insulin spikes ki wrong signals.. There is lot of research 

Sugar refined or in form of carbs  spikes insulin.. 

Carbs = sugar

Before bed everyday for a month drink one glass warm water with physillum husk. Don't eat spicy or oily foods at night.. Before every meal try drinking 30ml of kakarkaaya juice..read advantages of physillium husk

Tensions lekuntey sugar and carbs tinaru antav.. That's a food habit.. Stress asks for something shot spiked energy to feel good.. That's just a fake mask. Short lived.

i personally realized that major issues happen with lack of knowledge and understanding root causes. We think certain foods are good and we can safely eat them. But that's not true.. Foods with low fat or fat free are worst with more added sugars...

I think if you don't have enough exercise then it is better to stop intake of fatty foods such as sweets, and fried foods. No carbonated drinks.. idento carbonated drinks are a new phenomenon considering the history of humans.. no proper research has been done on the long term effects of these until now... They were sweet so got marketed without understanding the consequences and generations of people have to suffer because of them. Still no ban by the government on them. .. natural ga jiuces thaga kunda artifical thagithe chala problems... India lo malli oka sari ban cheyali vellani ... encourage natural fruit juices more instead of liquid death.

When u say lot of beer, how often ? Nenu weekend fri n sat thagutha mostly 3-4beers ! Do u think that's an issue? Meat weekly 3-4times at most! Workout 3-4 days a week, white rice weekends dinner ki thinta I.e., fri n saydays! Work week Antha lunch 2 capathis with Indian curry and dinner ki emanna tiffins! Do u suggest any change in diet with my life style ?
