2 months nundi on bench on websphere after 1 yr of project......... salesforce admin marketing chepidhamani thinking. ela undhi bhayya market...

Salesforce Admin means no programming..Number of opportunities are very few compared to Salesforce Developer role. Even if you find one or two opportunities for Admin role, most probably it will be full time. Finding a Salesforce Admin role for C2C is very tough.  Salesforce Admin market is good if you are GC or Citizen.

.Net background helps a lot in learning salesforce. I don't think he needs any formal training. He can go through online training materials or youtube videos.

I don't know any formal training but people with Java/.net background really don't need any paid training to learn salesforce. Free materials available online is more than enough.

Most of the salesforce developers I have seen are either with Java or .net or Siebel background.  If your friend works hard, he should get job in 2-3 months. Good luck!
