But the recently released film ‘Bichagadu’ proved it wrong by registering record collections. The film was released with least expectations, but brought a windfall of profits for the producer by expanding to several screens across the two Telugu states. Even in Tamil, it was released with almost similar title and was a big hit. Bichagadu’s success has not confined only to two languages. Kannadigas, too, have been crazy about this film. But, since there is a ban on dubbing of other language films into Kannada, it is going to be remade in Karnataka.
