Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has assured the startup community that the government is only going to act as a facilitator and will not come in the way of doing things.

“Many questions are being raised about the PM’s slogan of minimum government and maximum governance with respect to startups,” the minister said at the Start-up India States’ Conference.

“The government moves in a certain direction and this debate has to be in the spirit that there has to an accountable system in place,” she added.
