This will be Modi’s first visit to the India’s newest state since assuming office over two years ago. Telangana, which celebrated its second anniversary last month, had been waiting for the prime minister’s visit. According to official sources, Modi will visit three districts to participate in four programmes during his day-long visit. At Gajwel in Medak district, he will formally launch Mission Bhageeratha, Telangana government’s flagship programme aimed at providing piped drinking water to every household in the state.
