Job in Manhattan, NYC - Suggestions please

Friends,

Got an offer for 160K  (Full time) in Manhattan, NY.  Here are few concerns. Please advise:

1) Where to Stay? Is Queens a good place and what is the Average rent for 2 beb 2 bath?

2) School district ? I heard that NYC public schools are bad? Are they really that bad?

3) Is it recommended to stay in jersey city ? What is the average time to commute from jersey city  to Manhattan? Again Question 1 and 2 for jersey city

Poyi poyi new york city lo full time enduku bayya. Car lo vellalemu office ki..always subway. I would not accept the offer, if I were you. 

May be you can ask 20k more.. Boston lo ne 140k easy ga istunnaru..

I am working for a client in New york city(manhattan) and I need to be in office monthly once. Many of my colleagues commute from Edison, New Brunswick and my manager stays in Trenton and everybody says because of schools are the reason. How old is your kid?

better live near edison station n commute to NYC. my frds are doing same. i do not recommend jersey city.

My 2 cents.

Try to stay as much south as possible in NJ but close to transit. Princeton surrounding areas has best schools. So you need to find the place close to Princeton but not affecting you in the commute. Somewhere between.

If Schools are your priority then North Edison has best schools. And you can commute to Metro Park Train station from North Edison.

Queens & Brooklyn are nice places to live man... strictly NO BRONX

Rents avg  $2500 2 bed 2 bath

School districts no idea 

Payina peddalu cheppinattu New brunswick, South Brunswick, Kendel park, Edison, Prnceton, East / West Windsor area lo schools baavuntaayi

Commute 1.5 hrs one way and monthly $500 fix ayipo...

How about Stamford? 45min commute in train. All C-level executives stay on this side of NYC.
