Green card processing on F1 visa -- Suggestion cheppandi please.

Friends mee valuable suggestion/opinions cheppandi....

Currently working on F1 OPT STEM Extension (20 Months STEM Extension). I have 2 more chances for H1B visa (in 2017 and 2018). My application has not been picked up in the lottery for 2016 H1B Master's quota.

I am working full time (from 1 and half year) for a reputed US based IT firm (Mountain view, CA) -- University placement. I believe they will now process my Green card on a request. My idea is to start PERM process as early as possible and get a Priority date (that helps in future to get GC earlier based on I140 approval). But I am not aware of pros and cons of initiating GC process without a H1B visa. I need your valuable suggestions on

1. What would be the cons of initiating GC while on student visa?

2. What would be the problems that I face, if I travel for a vacation to my home country while on F1 with GC process started?

Thanks in advance.

My Frnd did the same he got his labor approved while on opt and applied for i140 when he got H1

technically H1B is a dual intent visa whereas F1 it's just a student visa u cannot process for immigration and again it depends on case to case

Gc perm is done by DOL

f1, h1 visas r by uu chee eye yes

neek istam ochinapudu gc start cheyyochu... Adi processing lo unnapudu u need some work visa

GC is future based thing, it can be initiated on any visa you are on ornif you are in india.

For your case of F1, GC can be started, but till you get GC what r ur plans? Extending OPT and the F1 again? If  H1-B picked up then good. So in short, GC is future based, what do you plan to do till you get GC?

ipudud H1 pick kale antunav. GC start chepinchukoni , Labor(PREM) approve ayinaka em chesthav.

Its not adivsible to apply for i140 while u are on F1 status.

labor approve ayindi sare,  H1 vachedaka wait cheyagalava ante adi kudaradhu. U have 6 months to apply for i140 after ur PERM(LABOR) approval. so nuvu ipudu labor apply chesina em upayogam undadhu.

Note:  Anavasaram ga chesina process malli malli chepinchukovali. So its better to wait until ur h1 approval. Fte antunav intha dhedh dhimak tho etla FTE job chesthunav. Edo cheyali anukovadam manchidi. Edina chesedam anukone ni alochana chala wrong. Thelivi mari ekkuva aithe problems lo irrukuntav
