With Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu running into deep inconveniences on the special category status issue, his nearby friend and union minister M Venkaiah Naidu has swung into action to bail the chief minister out of the crisis.

Apparently getting an SOS from Naidu that he had been under tremendous pressure to take some serious decision in the wake of denial of special category status to AP, Venkaiah immediately rushed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and explained to him the ground situation in AP.
