blaming it on quota is just a mental block. You play and plan around the team you are given. anthey.

I remember reading sportstar articles in the early 90s with people like Barry Richards saying the most racist things (I realised it later) about black representation in SA sports. I think SA deserves this comeuppance.

It is perfectly fine to let sports be affected by politics. Not every country is as blessed as Australia/NZ. SA is not going to stop being competitive because of this.

SA has a sad and complicated history. merit in national cricket should be the least of its worries.

this is a bit like ice hockey world cup, where only 8 teams play, and no one really cares who wins it. Stanley Cup on the other hand, where talent moves across nations freely is much more prestigious.
