I will go with @VizagRocks argument that u should think whether marriage is mandatory in the first place. Unless there is a compelling reason to continue your genes on this planet for a super natural theory there is no need to bind yourself in a marraige.

I don't understand this 'trust' about partner. Marriage is a legally binding relationship. It is normal to set terms of expectations in such relationships. If you so love your partner, just don't register your marriage. But then, govt. eventually catches upto you, and makes you register your union in some way or the other.
