Donations to this campaign go to support Chiranjeevi Metla’s (Chinni) battle to beat aggressive stage 4 colon cancer. All proceeds go to offset medical bills, ongoing and further treatment, and associated expenses.

Chinni an Indian origin from Guntur, comes from a middle class family with an agricultural background, currently lives in New Jersey, and works as an IT Consultant, married to Jyothi since November 2015. His parents live in a village near Guntur, India

Chinni was diagnosed as having stage 4 Colon Cancer (Invasive signet ring cell adenocarcinoma) on the 14th of August 2016. He is currently being treated at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The doctors performed a surgery on Sept 7th to remove tumor cells from his body and were unsuccessful. Post-surgery the doctors said that further treatment is going to get complicated and advised more physical and mental support from all his family members.

Upon understanding Chinni’s medical condition, his parents and his only sister (younger to him) who currently are in India requested us to send Chinni to India for further treatment and care. Doctors advised that Chinni would be travel-ready in 2 weeks from today.

As said above, donations to this campaign go to support part of Chinni’s further treatment related expenses (for next 6 months in India). After consulting with several parties in India (Doctors, and patients undergoing treatment) we came to an assumption that the treatment cost would be more than 120K USD. Our goal currently is to raise 120K USD through this campaign.

We, friends of Chinni, posting this on behalf of all the friends and well-wishers of Chinni and his family. We hope you will consider donating what you can to help the family to support Chinni’s treatment.
