That Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been indulging in gross nepotism has once again been evident from the way his government is lifting cases filed on the party leaders and also those who resigned from the other parties to join the TDP.

The other day, Principal Secretary (Home) A R Anuradha issued orders following the recommendation from Director General of Police Sambasiva Rao, lifting criminal cases filed against TDP MLA and Naidu’s brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna, Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao and his son Sivaramakrishna and MP Modugula Venugopal Reddy, who had violated the police rules and addressed a public meeting at Narsaraopet in Guntur district in 2009 elections.

The government also ordered withdrawal of certain cases against YSR Congress party MLA from Vijayawada Jaleel Khan after he joined the TDP.

Having seen this, Nandyal MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy also submitted an application to the government seeking lifting of criminal case against him for alleged attempt to murder Nandyal Muncipal Chairman Vijaya Kumar on October 31, 2014.

Though the case was filed by the TDP government itself, it is now getting ready to withdraw the case, as ordered by Naidu himself.

At the same time, a large number of cases are being filed against the YSRC MLAs and other leaders in different parts of the state. So, if they want to get out of the cases, don’t they have any option but to join the TDP?
