i traveled on Aug 15th when my visa was expiring/H1 too on Sep 30th. Return on Sep 7th .. nothing .. I was asked if my employer is extending my h1b. I said yes.. thats it

e kadhu mostly i retrued but better to apply extension now and go  while processing. Apply chesina in process ani chepachu.. if its late...
