Most of the stuff you saw in this documentary is patent protected and you cannot sell them without infringement

And to manufacture large scale..you need to build fab cities

fab means? For most of its rise as electronics manufacturing hub, Shenzhen was no more than a place where you assemble components imported from Taiwan, Taiwan is the fab hub.

Only recently have several hardware design shops sprung up. Some of them from Silicon Valley entrepreneurs who want to bring their product as fast as possible to the market.

Even now, its Shanghai which is the fab hub in China, and perhaps Dalian where Intel has its facilities.

India ila develop avvatam marichi po. adhi kooda China range lo chance ledhu.

Indian market is fragmented. May be GST will change things.

But India is still stuck with a large illiterate population, and horrible infra. And a religious nutcase as PM.

China lo IP laws unnayi. China is the 2nd or 3rd largest registrar of patents in the world. But enforcement koncham weak aey. actually chaala weak.

I was also excited by Shenzhen, but that region exists solely to benefit Chinese. All those Silicon Valley people spending their 6-12 months furiously designing and developing their product there, were all left shocked when cheap imitations came into the market, before their product did. @3$%

Such a network can be built in India too. Though not to that scale, because of restrictive labour laws, and pathetic infra in India.
