Trip Insurance for Travel Dates Changes

Planning to book flight from Dallas - Hyderabad in November using Justfly.com and planning to take their travel Protection for $69.

COVERAGE INCLUDES:
Trip Cancellation - 100% of Trip Cost
Trip Interruption - 150% of Trip Cost
Medical and Dental Coverage - Up to $100,000
Emergency Assistance - Up to $50,000
Travel Delay - Up to $5,000
Baggage Delay - Up to $2,000

Reasons for taking travel protection : To avoid airlines 200$ travel dates changes fees, H1B (premium) is still in process and need to go for stamping in Hyderabad both of which are uncertain and so not very sure about the return date.

I tried one-way tickets but the price is higher. Did anyone try taking travel protection for travel dates changes ? if yes, which website is better? If no, is there any better alternative?

Thank you for your help

I would suggest booking directly with airline and using a credit card that has travel interruption protection. you should have legitimate reasons as to why you are changing your travel dates (eg. illness, unforeseen reasons such as immediate family members being hospitalized). postponing travel due to h1-b restrictions is not covered by any insurance. even the one you specified above.

If you book thru an agent like justfly, you will have to go thru them for ticket date changes. They will ask you to pay for the ticket change fee and then you can reimburse from your insurance company ani antaru.. nuvvu direct airline thru book cheskunte you will have access to call the airline directly and deal with ticket changes.

IMO buying travel protection insurance is of no use if you have credit cards that give you this feature for free.
