why is that bad news?

The bad news would BJP winning in TN. That event is very far away. hopefully.

that day may not be as far as you assume. jayalalitha might kick bucket soon. there would be a big vacuum then. ideal situation for rajnikanth to join bjp and enter politics and then your worst nightmare will come true

I don't think you understand TN.

I've begun to appreciate communism and its appeal. But I'm too lazy to read up in length about modern communist movements, and where they went wrong.

The right wing depictions of communism are a joke.

leave it bro. BJP can't even find 10 decent people to contest in TN. Rajni is not popular.

You'll be astounded at the level of voter research that DMK/ADMK does. No party can come close to them in TN for a couple decades atleast.

agree that BJP as of now does not stand a chance in TN...but you trying to some how link it to brahmins sounds absurd...may be you dont know TNs caste census or BJPs vote share in other parts of India....except for UP/Bihar brahmins are not a sizable vote bank...and elite brahmins anyway wont vote for BJP ...they are the ones sitting all mightily in congress and left parties and they are the ones responsible for all the mess in last 65 years...

maybe i don't know TN well but when a wave sweeps nothing can stop. adm. without jayalalitha admk will be also ran party mainly because of the way she ran the party not letting any leader to emerge.

similar things were said earlier about bjp in assam. we know what happened and now look at manipur. bjp never had even one mla here few years back.

i still dont understand this common perception that BJP/RSS's core support base is brahmins....its not ...its OBCs and in 2014 it was a sizable dalit vote that gave them that victory....

OKay, if you say so. I always prefer it when the party I don't want to win, thinks it can win. I'm young enough to be wary of such surprises.

anyway, it won't be wave that will defeat dmk/admk in TN. actually, I can't think of a single reason both parties can be defeated in TN. At best BJP can form coalition govt. But they won't be in 'power'.

add to that, they got majority of buddhist vote (ladakh), major chunk of christian vote (south goa, kanyakumari, arunachal east). also swept most of tribal seats.

its just delusional thinking of anti bjp rss folks just to keep themselves happy. they have every right to do that nothing wrong in it.

BJP/RSS leadership is majority brahmin. taht's why. But so are many institutions in India.

It is the trader class that supports BJP. And that is the problem when BJP starts professing nationalism, as I explained yesterday.

When an dalit ABVP student couldn't stand the character assassination attempts on Vemula, by his fellow ABVP leaders, where exactly does a dalit go to voice his concerns on the leadership's attitude towards his group?

This is one question the Indian right can never answer. Their entire 'big umbrella' is a huge joke. That's why they are called party of brahmins. Not because they are 'brahmins', but their attitude is one of cultural hegemony, while denying others within their own umbrella equal cultural space.
