I think Indian nationalism is hollow. It has no meaning beyond soft Hindu connection among people from different parts of India.

I don't see the need to push it hard. There's enough 'hinduism' to go around in state politics to keep hinduism alive for centuries.

I don't think you even understand that Vemula world. He's just a young person trying to form a coherent world view. One without too much contradictions. That's what people do when they are naive. No plan to have social welfare

No plan to weed out contentious issues among different constituents

No plan to decentralize further

-- what historical mistakes you taking about particularly --vis a vis Pak and Kashmir ..BJP is doing much better than prev govts ...econimic front also..rectifying a lot of things...

-- lot of initiatives for the down trodden and an PM who constantly reminds that the govt is for everyone...

--insurance plans for poor and gas subsidy ...lot of other welfare programs..

--what contentious issues...and among whom....particulars ...

--NITI ayog is a step towards decentralization....GST also has equal stake for state and representation ...

--and you are very right Indian civilization is atleast 5000 yrs old ...and it will survive dont worry....:)

-- demographics is a problem...at lease the stake holders need to know the truth about TFRs and the mass conversions...nothing wrong in decimating info..
