4chan was all too happy to engage an anonymous poster that submitted a challenge to the user base, "If anyone can correctly guess their own post number, I will tell you where she is buried." An image was attached showing the face of a young girl. A lot of information could be had just from the original post itself. The watermark on the picture means it was distributed by KWCH 12 News, and the girl it depicts had gone missing six days prior. Even the file name of the attachment holds a clue, zoey.jpg. The girl was quickly identified as an 18 year old college student from Kansas, Emily Sander. It was eventually disclosed to the public that she was also an online model that went by the name Zoey Zane. Eventually, a user fulfilled the original poster's request and he followed up with the reward, "Winrar! Here you go!" He then listed coordinates to a location some 36 miles east of El Dorado, Kansas. The information was relayed to the police, and actually led to the discovery of a dead body. Only hours afterwards, news outlets reported that the remains of Emily Sander were recovered by authorities. The search came to a tragic end.

While users on 4chan were able to identify and locate the body, authorities were already making headway in locating her presumed killer, a 24 year old Kansas man, Israel Mireles. This anonymous monster now has a face and a name. Misty Walton was with Sander the night they went out for drinks. Israel had been all over her, trying to get her to come to his motel, but Misty resisted. Then Israel turned his sights to Sander, and the two were last seen leaving the bar together. At some point that night, Isreal was flung into a rage, probably when Sander denied him and tried to leave. She was then stabbed and beaten mercilessly. Israel used a knife, his fists, and beer bottles to mangle her body. He then loaded Sander up in his rental car and dumped her off the side of the road on his way to pick up his girlfriend. The two headed to Texas, where he stashed the rental car. Israel tried to flee to Mexico, but he was eventually tracked down and extradited. He was charged with the murder and rape of Emily Sander, and is now spending his days in prison, enjoying a life sentence.
