Political circles in Andhra Pradesh are agog with reports that Nara Brahmani, daughter-in-law of Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, might soon enter politics.

According to these reports, Naidu has observed that Brahmani has been evincing keen interest in politics of late and that she has been silently working on the political situation in the state.

The recent survey conducted by Brahmani on the prospects of the TDP if elections are held now has stunned Naidu who realized that she has a very sharp brain in politics. And that is precisely why he is learnt to have decided to bring her into politics.

However, the TDP president cannot rope Brahmani into state politics, because her husband Lokesh Naidu is already active here.

If she, too, joins the state politics, it might lead to emergence of alternative power centre. So, Naidu wants Brahmani to go national politics and spread the party across the country.

Since she has tremendous oratorical skills, she would be of great help to the party at the national level. If necessary, she would lend her support to the party in the state during electioneering, say party sources.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has succeeded in the mission of delimitation of Districts. Although people of few mandals were upset, Majority of the Telanganites were content with the 21 New Districts formed from existing 10 ones.

If KCR stopped at 31, His AP counterpart Chandrababu Naidu wishes to take the count to 60. Babu is toying with idea of decentralization without carrying out delimitation of districts. He wants to increase the role of Revenue Divisions for better Administration. Government Schemes implementation will be monitored from Revenue Division and most of the decision making would happen from here itself. Which means, The role of RDOs would increase and they would monitor the implementation of schemes just alike collectors.

Altogether, 60 Revenue Divisions are likely to be established in Andhra Pradesh. Government is mulling to promote several DSPs and Deputy Collectors as their role is going to be crucial.
