i am using HSA. there are 2 options. HSA can only be used for Medical reasons.

1. Taking HSA separately (this will never expire and can be used in medical emergencies.

2. Company Sponsored Health Insurance + HSA ( i this option, if you are married then the deductible will be high but employer contributes towards HSA. Singles ki best e option, and money can be saved, for future medical cost in events (Surgeries/pregnancy etc)

Example: if you need an MRI, corporate hospitals will charge 3000-6000$. outside it will be done with 500$. for paying that amount, you can use HSA.

bro  enni years gaa HSA maintain chesthunavu????

major disadvantage with HSA is  .... lets say you have 5000 contributed this year and only spend 1000 .. 4000 migilipoyayi anukolemu ... you have to carry forward and have to spend on medical expenses   or you have to pay tax and penalty on that amount to withdraw .... technically USA lo nee life anukuntee best ani naa feeling .... like old age vochee varuku aa amount big amount gaa pile up avuthundi but disadvantage also ... really big health issue vochi nee HSA amount saripokaa pothy????

HSA money value grows overtime, ante interest vasthundhi (america lo interest is joke i know) but still its something.

HSA money major health issue ki saripokapothey then you have coninsurance kada after deductible.

one more important point is ..if we dont use $5000  for that year can be carried over to next year.so you would be accumulating the amount every year.
