he wasn't actually cheated , Edison was a business man and he made business deals that are in his own favor that's it , Getting patents for stuff that u invented and buying patents from other inventors is not a crime , media just portrays Edison as a bad guy but he's one of best visionaries of the modern age....  tesla used to work for Edison as an assistant initially  , He actually proposed the AC motor idea to edison but edison dissed it , so , he left the job at Edison's company to start working on his ideas ..

I wouldnt blame edison or JP morgan for what happened to tesla , they did not force him to do what he did , tesla did it out of his own will..

Also , he had mental issues that's the main reason for what happened to him at the end....

Also the reason why he gave away the patents to westinghouse was because westinghouse ran out of money while tesla was building the project at nayagara falls , he had no other option but to give up those patents to save the company
