Cook runs to the pitch of the ball but the ball is just short enough to allow some turn. Cook closes the bat face too early in an attempt to heave over midwicket but the ball spins through what was quite a big gap between bat and pad. Parthiv collects the ball by his shoulder and takes the bails off. May have clipped Cook's pad, too. What made the dismissal was the fact that Cook went through with his shot despite not getting to the pitch. An unusual method of dismissal.
