eggjactly I have same opinion too. Java open source ga unnapudu it was dominating once oracle bought its parent company it lost its consistency. So I say Both are good.

its not remake bro.. .Net is not a language its a framework. you can use c# , vb, c++ & others to program with .Net.  of which c#, java syntax has matches because they are both C style languages mostly based on oops.

if you learn c# :

 you can build websites, windows apps, games (unity gaming engine), mobile apps (xamarin) , ... literally anything  . in my opinion the combination of Visual Studio IDE and C# language is best in the world as of now java and its IDE's doesn't comes close to it. Probably NodeJs & javascript are better than Java.

just for my information. can you answer following questions about java?

can you develop mobile apps (for all platforms) ?

can you develop games for all platforms (mobile, desktop) ?

can you develop windows apps?

evadu vayya neku chepindi tesing 25-35 ani just week ago ma con lo 2 persons  ki testing meda came one in begum bazar(ca bay area) 65 p/h, other one in sec'bad station(texas) 57p/h..
