Even if it covers.. credit card will charge the amount enterprise charges with 27% Apr on top of it..

 

Since he drove 1 mile already..damage to engine might have been done..valves ani suck cheyali.. but engine overhaul is exoensive..

Petrol in a diesel is bad. OK. Bad things are going to happen. I know. I have done it. The car will still run for a while because petrol will burn in a diesel engine however you will soon have problems.

The fuel injection system on a diesel has very fine tolerances. This is especially true of modern HDi engines. In these the high pressure fuel pump located above the injectors, is lubricated by the diesel oil. When petrol gets in, the lubrication is lost and the pump very quickly starts to wear. Little bits of metal get into the injection system. They could cause the injector to fail or block the fuel line entirely.

In my car's HDi engine, there was a tiny metal filter between the high pressure fuel pump and the injectors. This caught the fragments of metal before they could get into the injectors. However, this filter quickly clogged with fragments and blocked the fuel flow causing the car to stall. If I waited a minute, the fragments would fall back out of the filter and the car would start again, drive for a few more minutes then stall once more.

In addition, the petrol may corrode seals in the fuel delivery system causing fuel leaks throughout.

The repair will involve replacing the high pressure pump and injectors. I managed to find a firm who would recondition the pump and injectors rather than replace but either way round this is a very expensive repair. You may also need to replace parts of the fuel line and seals if they have been affected.

Diesel in a petrol is bad. OK. Bad things are going to happen to your car but not as bad as diesel in a petrol. Diesel will not burn in a regular petrol car engine. The car will stutter and stall once the diesel feeds through the system. If you have an injection engine, then you may come up against some of the same issues as described for the diesel above.

Fixing a regular petrol engine will involve draining and flushing the fuel system, filling with petrol and re-initialising the system. 

If you think you have made a mistake fuelling the car - do not try to start the car. Not even for a minute. Push the car to a safe parking spot and call a recovery truck to take it away. If you do this, all that might need doing is to drain the tank and fill it up again.

To solve the problem, drain all of the diesel fuel out of the gas tank and refill it with gasoline. Then you would have to keep cranking the engine for a while to get the diesel out of the fuel lines and the injectors. Eventually the engine would start and run fine. There would be no damage.

i think that applies if they realized their mistake at the pump and have not started their engine

once the fuel mixture is in the injector mechanism its a difficult task man

fuel tank lo wrong fuel ke difficult task man antav endi, right tools as in jack station and  oil draining system unte it can be done, for mechanics its just time taking. He might end up paying 7-800 for this repair ante.
