Hyd Metro MD makes big announcement

The most anticipated project of Hyderabadis, Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, to get off the ground in next year. In an official statement, 'By the time Ugadi or Telangana Formation Day of 2017, the metro rail services are most likely to start', said by the Metro Rail Managing Director NVS Reddy.

'The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project(HMR) is the World's Largest Public-Private Partnership Project (PPP) in the Metro Sector. The Metro Network will cover a total distance of around 72 Km across three corridors, transporting Hyderabad to the future.' claims Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the developer of this imminent Project.

With the population reaching nearly 10 million in Hyderabad, the people expects the traffic congestion on city roads can largely be resolved by this prestigious Project. 

Ever since TRS party came into power, several news were circulated with respect to start of the Metro services. Nagole-Shilparamam (26.51km), Miyapur-LB Nagar (29.87km) and JBS-Faluknama(14.78km) are three corridors of Hyderabad Metro Rail.
