People can deposit any amount of cash with credible tax documents and use debit and credit card.

But can draw only 10k per week.

10 K from Bank directly per day & 20 K per week from Bank (Including Cheque + ATM)

But from today ATM limit hicked from 2K to 2.5K & 24 K for one week.

Exchange for one which wa 4K per day was hiked to 4.5 K now from today...

Soon from next week mostly 18th 4K can be with drawn from ATM card per day as mentioned earlier.

Compared to Cities rural areas affected most, Cities can have CC & swiping machine options as bit of alternative, small cities & towns more affected small business taking big blow will take time to recover.

I completely agree it was a master plan but bad execution.

10 months nunchi planning antunnaru but grave mistake releasing 2000 notes first now after 4-5 days 500 notes seems to been sent to banks from RBI....Had they kept 500 (new ones) ready & 1000 loaded to banks , ATMs earlier situation would have been good...

Ippudu entante banks lo exchange cheste mostly 2000 notes istunnaru kaani daaniki bayata chillara dorakatam kastamga undi....

Demonetisation of 500 and 1000 is done with the good intention, the execution is horrible. Govt neglected two things badly. Not introducing polymer notes for 2000rs. Note looks so cheap with low paper quality. Security features are not new, can be easily faked. What a waste of great opportunity when millions of them are being distributed. (Anyone who has seen Canadian notes can easily understand how good they are compared to our 2000Rs notes).

Another very important one - it is very difficult to exchange the old notes in a country as big as India.

Govt should have asked all the bank to introduce deposit machines which take the old notes and credite them into the customers account. For people who don't know about this - it takes the customer's ATM card and credits the amount into customer's bank account. This way govt will have access to who deposited.. thus tracking black money, which lessens the manual work of customers filling the forms at the banks now. Most of the middle class people are just intended to convert the old notes into valid cash, be it the new notes or the credited amount in their accounts. It could have saved a lot of hassle both for customers and the banks.  The technology is already very much in use and the machines introduced now will not go wasted. They could be used in future.

bhayya polymer notes ki printing cost chala ekkuva, usa,uk currency ki life time 100 years untai and they will never demonetize their currency as it is rotated all over the work, so vallaki workout avuthuindhi. India ki work out avvadu bcz of all cash transaction in India. and again if govt want to demonetize the currency after 5-10 years this investment in printing will get wasted. Fin. min told they govt will demonetize money every few from now if they see increment of fake money.

also I think the reason why they released 2000 instead of 500 first is may be they are thinking black money people try all their way to convert the 1000 and 500 to 2000 from different sources and try to take only 2000 from now to hide them easily, so after 1 month or 2 years from now govt can just demonetize 2000 notes.

Modi agenda is cash less India, so doesn't matter how secure is 2000 note if he pushed every one into this path. Nuvvu entha secure chesina note ni, max enko 1 week delay avuthundhi fake chesa vadiki antha.

Not logical bro. Nuvvu cheppinattu future lo ila demonetisation chesukuntu pothe, it would be very difficult for common man and would be very expensive for govt and the banks. Aa spending and efforts polymer notes ki pettadam better. Difficult to fake. If the government can't reduce the technological costs in printing the polymer notes of 2000rs, what's the point of introducing them in the first place? Faking 2K notes & stashing them for black money is more detrimental than faking and stashing of 500 or 1000 notes. In conclusion, the costs of printing polymer notes outweighs the costs of  demonetisation every now and then.
