The Guntur Medical College professor Dr Lakshmi was arrested in Bengaluru on Monday. She went underground after the PG medico Dr B Sandhya Rani committed suicide on October 27, accusing Lakshmi of harassment leading to her death. Lakshmi was arrested along with her husband Parthasarathi, vice chairman, AP Medical Council. It may be recalled that Dr Sandhya Rani (27), a PG student of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, committed suicide by injecting an over dose of anesthesia to herself.
