Mavni is closed man.. Its made under Obama executive orders.. it is going to be cancelled by @cottondora @Trumpumpuhar ...

Moreover there is no budget for mavni beyond fy16. new govt may not allocate budget for special processing programs like mavni  during peace time coz its war time program. there are issues regarding background process as mavni is not handled properly espcly background verification part.

hope it opens soon (about 2 or 3 yrs hopefully) but the background might take about 6 to 15 months on an avg.

overall no hopes for about good 3 to 4 years...

btw .. they discontinued all the processes for MAVNI applicants.. so I donno how long your background gonna take..
