Lease is good for short term usage.

if you think you will change the car after 2 or 3 years lease is better.

lets say someone bought a merc for 50k and after an year, it's totaled. insurance pays only market value and lets say it's 40k. but the loan/lease residue is $45k, the owner/lesse has to pay the $5k difference.

if you have gap insurance, then that will pay the $5k difference

premium cars ki lease is best, ask about lease residue value after lease term if you want to buy out, if you want to enjoy the car/SUV for 3 years then opt for low lease payments and at the end of the lease return it.

if you are sure you will change car in 2-3 years, go for lease. residual value ekkuva unna cars ki, manchi lease rates vasthayi, since resale is good on them

similarly, if you plan to use the car for atleast 5years go for buying it.....
