going to home country is never an issue bro. coming back to US, u shud have a valid visa. that's it. BA won't say this in their site but they do check your visa before issuing your boarding pass and then if you don't have a visa they'll reject. ofc, we won't come back to US without a valid visa. right!!!

If you are going to your home country via LHR you do not need a visa. 
however, if you are coming back to the US via LHR they will check your stamped visa status at your international gateway airport itself. Adi Britsh ane kaade, evaraina kooda check chestaru.

if he has expired visa he will mention it right!!.
