65% india is youth and mobile smart phone penetration is huge even in remote villages too.

if a person can read the number on a currency note, then he can surely be trained to read his digital transaction on phone or read his rubay debit card statement on it.

as it is laga unte next 1000 yrs alage untaru. people  need to be forced to change the economic behavior for good. it can be done, you dont need great education for that

so they don't have to understand their card statements? Indian 'youth' are not 100% literate.

koncham speed taggisthey manchidi. The reason India cannot achieve Chinese level of growth is because about one third of our potential workforce is illiterate.

before 2019 he will announce a big welfare scheme for poor and he will say its funded by the black money recovered. then you can hear har har modi  slogans again in his rallies.

modi is not vajpayee to do all good work and stay silent. he will beat drums and he knows how to do it.

Include Manmohan Singh also. If the 2-4 lakh crore is true, informal economy will be in serious trouble. most will simply take the money, say har har modi, and vote for the other guy (like how tamils do).

India cannot be a cashless economy. I've seen graduates from India struggle to write coherent sentences, or sometimes struggle to fill up forms.

Modi is living in some dream world.

let me guess. govt will take this 2-4lakh crores from the system, and invest it in what? mostly urban infrastructure, right?

so again, transfer of money from poor to rich. good move by Modi.

apart from funding welfare schemes for poor,  recapitalized banks with lower lending rates will help business to invest in new projects and thus generating jobs for the poor and labour. its a way of kickstarting a cycle. however since you dont understand capitalism, you will continue to be cynical.

dial down the condescension a bit dude. I've been a trader, and an junior partner for enough time to understand how 'capitalism' works.

why would the lending rates be particularly lower, once banks are recapitalized? Any special reason? Why can't the govt. do this by printing its own money and increasing the currency supply?

the demonitization is an useless move, that won't benefit much, but will bring much misery.

It looks like he's trying to fly before he can crawl. Hope he falls on his face.

do you think informal economy benefits poor farmers? if it is so then after decades why is their condition like that. only beneficiaries were rich farmers and traders. formalizing rural economy will make traders difficult generate black income. so formal any day better than informal

lending rates are directly proportional to cash balance for banks. rbi will cut rates too coz of deflation by note ban
