New Delhi: The decision of currency ban has its own disadvantages. If banning currency notes that occupy over 86% currency in the country is a mistake, in order to fill the currency deficit Modi's government introduced a new 2000 rupee note. This had defeated the main motive of containing influx of counterfeit notes in the country.

The new 2000 rupee note added to woes of people as the country has been facing change crunch. So government came with the idea of new 500 rupee note. This is taking time to fill the gap of currency deficit.

Latest idea is to come with new thousand rupee note. In order to bridge the gap between banned currency deposited in banks and the new currency in circulation government is toying with this idea. An estimate says that the bridging will take still 45 days more and hence a 1000 rupee could help it bridge the difference faster and save time. RBI is working out a plan to go about with this.
