cc's are unsecured credit cards...banks give them by taking some risk..so you defaulting on them is a risk they are willing to take...

if you look at cc business by different banks the loss they incur by defaulters is nothing compared to interest (15-20 % APR ) they get by honest paying members...

take for india as example...mallya loan sbi write off chesesindhi..bcoz they know he is not going to pay...thats the loss they are willing to take...but will they leave farmers and low and middle class people...No..bcoz the interest and profit they make on these good accounts is far more than the write off on big loans.

cheppenu kada bro...if you dont want to come back to USA in the next 6-7 years easy ga cheyyochu...no issues...banks have insurance policies for bad accounts.
