Mining Baron, Former BJP Minister in Karnataka, Gali Janaradhan Reddy is again in the news. This time for the wrong reasons. Gali Janardhan Reddy is accused of laundering black money of over Rs 100 crore for his daughter’s wedding.  This is mentioned in the suicide not left by Ramesh Gowda, who is Gali’s driver to special land acquisition officer, Bheema Nayak in Bengaluru.  Ramesh Gowda died by consuming poison in Maddur.

 

Gali Janardhan Reddy is said to be spent around Rs 500 crores for his daughter’s wedding.  This host cost wedding came under heavy criticism especially general people were left amused by the way wedding is done when the entire country is reeling under currency crisis after PM Narendra Modi announced demonetization on November 9th.  Even though Income Tax department has raided many of his places , formally no complaint is filed on him.

 

Driver Ramesh Gowd clearly mentioned the reason for his death in a detailed letter. He accused Gali of paying 20% commission to the Karnataka Administrative Service officer. Ramesh mentioned in his letter that Gali along with BJP MP Sriramulu met Naik several times in a five star hotel in Bengalure before the wedding.  He mentioned that Bheema Nayak also wanted Gali to help him to get a ticket to contest the 2018 karnataka assembly elections.

Police has filed a case on Bheema Nayak and started the inquiry.
