PhD ki if it's a proper university they offer scholarship and pay her not the other way round. Because she will be doing research for the university. Vaadiki aa concept telisi undadu.

The ones who make 400k with bonus are usually graduates from top 10 financial institutions in the US, or in very rare cases people out of top tech schools(IITs etc from India) but even the ones that are from non US schools are less 5% of the total number of investment bankers who get their foot in the door. 

Also, it's not so much their Master's that matters in this case because if you are from a top 10 institution in the US with a 4.0 GPA(which they normally are) you have already proven your worth in their eyes.
