These are the kind of movies we need at the moment, ones that show a true picture of what our society is deep down i.e., casteist, feudalistic, fundamentalist, regionalistic etc.

Contrary to how 99% of movies show the female lead being a dumb bimbo with nothing to offer beyond a plastic face, the director here had the guts to show a female character that actually had a substance.

The more hard hitting such movies, the more they should be appreciated by the audience.

Can't agree more. I felt the same. Visaranai was too realistic with same pace through out the movie.
