daily 1000 rupees pay seyyalekapothe vellipovachu kada ola system nundi. ee simple logic kuda ela miss ayithunnaru. Ola is not TG govt kada free ga food pettadaniki. _%~

half knowledge ga...

they are working with ola not as drivers...but owners..

they all paid 30,000 down payment and daily fees of 1000 for 4 years to own the car on loan from bank which is on the driver's name...kind of trap.

Drivers ki kooda 1 lac per month income ani promised anta. Software gallaki kooda vundadu antha naa matta.

uber and ola initial stages lo driver and customer acquisition kosam they ran all kinds of incentives (for example if you make a trip and the trip is 200Rs, they used to add another 300. so the driver got 500 rs for that trip). early in the game many people bought cars and paid their loans off with these incentives. this model cannot be sustained for a long as uber and ola have to make money to be in business. This is how they used to make a 1 lac per month or even more.

idi chusi lot of people signed up as uber/ola drivers. So obviously supply increased which ends up in getting less trips

so it looks like the incentives are going away and the drivers/cab owners who bought cars thinking to pay them off like the early one's who jumped on the band wagon are unable to meet their EMI's due to multiple reasons.

i am not sure if it has anything to with ola software showing favoritism to drivers who got cars from them by giving them the trips. If in fact that is one of the contributing factors, it should be pretty easy to audit the s/w and prove if government is willing to.

told na uncle. these companies used to offer these incentives for customer/driver acquisition.

this is why uber was running in losses in india

Usa lo kooda losses ee uber.

yeah all these are paper valuations for companies like uber, ola, airbnb etc....these is a huge down side of these as uber/ola is replacing the traditional cab model and airbnb is replacing the hotel hospitality business.

uber knows cab model alone cant be sustainable which is why its piggy backing on the cab model with uber eats, delivery, self driving etc.

300 is just one example. there are more incentives they did like a tiered trip structure. if you do more than x number of trips you get a y% bonus etc.

The sad part is these drives arent educated enough to go through what they are signing up for and i dont think there is a full legal structure to these agreements. there will be also fine print in there some where saying the incentives can change anytime. Also there is the competition factor between these companies.

a lot of the drivers have started using both uber and ola apps. I believe uber is more strict where if they found out if the driver signs up for both, they terminated the agreements etc. The government has to play a certain part in these to protect these drivers from these kinds of things. But again this business model is unlike any other and the legal structure hasn't been well defined.
